Client: District Council of Elliston, subconsultant for Martins Brand House
I wrote the text for a series of interpretive signs in the new Elliston Coastal Trail. I also researched and identified appropriate historical and contemporary images. The themes for the signs included: early explorers; the hardship and isolation of early settlers; shipping;the dangerous coastline and shipwrecks; the importance of the jetty in connecting with the outside world; development of pastoral properties and the township; dramatic limestone cliffs and their ecosystems; marine conservation and fishing; island sanctuaries; the preciousness of water; flora and fauna; and fossils.
